Textile Facade for Multi-Möbel Markersdorf
The Multi-Möbel building in Markersdorf shines in new glamour, as we have installed an XXL banner as a new textile facade with about 2000 m² of tarpaulin material. This was the second time we were able to realise this project for Multi-Möbel. The facade was renewed due to a redesign of the emergency exits.
In this blog post, we want to tell you how we took on this challenge, what details the project required and what exactly a textile facade is.
What’s a textile Fassade?
Imagine investing in your company headquarters. You are incredibly proud, but after a few rains, storms and winters, the building looks a bit worn out. Your company is wasting potential in its self-representation. With a textile facade, that can’t happen to you.
With a textile facade, we build a ‘second house wall’ made of textile around your building. The large banners are mounted in front of your house wall and offer years of protection, especially for the actual facade.
More details on textile facades can be found here.
Why a textile facade?
Of course, you could also paint your house wall or restore it regularly. However, this is not only a lot of (and in our eyes unnecessary) work, but also comes at a high cost. With a textile facade, you not only get years of weather resistance for a comparatively low price.
The special thing right from the start: you determine the representation of your company yourself. With our customer advisors, we give you the freedom to personalise your design. How your company building is represented is now your decision and not that of the building.
And even if you want a new facade after a while or want to launch a new campaign, that’s no problem. A textile facade can be flexibly adapted to your ideas.

XXL Banner for Multi-Möbel Markersdorf
Back to Markersdorf. Here we installed a textile facade. To do this, we printed 9 huge banners out of about 2000 m² of tarpaulin material and had to pay attention to a few aspects, because we wanted Multi-Möbel’s new facade to last as long as possible.
Wind and weather are a major challenge for such large banners. That’s why we opted for 510 g tarpaulin. Compared to mesh, its main advantage is that it cleans itself in rain and other weather conditions. The material is also significantly stronger and more stable.
The banners were printed using the solvent process, cut to size on the cutter, and the individual parts were then welded together. Everything had to run perfectly to avoid any difficulties with the wind load of the freestanding building during assembly. Thanks to our patented assembly technology, we managed both the transport and the installation flawlessly.
