Banksy in Our Printing Company: A Look Behind The Scenes

The last few weeks have been particularly exciting for us: we had the mysterious street artist Banksy in our printing company – or at least works by him.

For the ‘The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind’ exhibition, commissioned by COFO Exhibitions GmbH & Co. KG, we were asked to produce the prints. This order took up several hundred square metres. Here we give you an insight into how everything went.

Preperation and Print

Once we had received the data from the customer, our sales TEXpert Sebastian Hauffe organised everything necessary. Over 200 different items had to be realised on various materials and using different printing processes. A challenge that our team tackled with a great deal of expertise: from PVC tarpaulins and fabrics to SAVs and panels – each material required a special approach.

Convincing quality

Every step in the process, from printing to post-production, was carried out with the greatest care. Laminating SAVs, calendering fabrics and precisely cutting and milling the panels were crucial to ensure quality. Our quality TEXperts carefully inspected the products before they were packaged and handed over to the carrier.
